This week's challenge is to share our best shot so I thought I'd share a couple photos from our summer vacation in August.
The Blue Ridge Parkway - Such a beautiful place. Words can not describe it.
One of the many trails we took. I ruined a pair of shoes on this trip but it was worth it!
I think we walked nearly nine miles over streams, giant boulders, fallen trees, through mud and moss, and slippery trails in just two days.
If you are looking to travel the Blue Ridge Parkway is it!
One of these days I will share more photos of the parkway and the East Coast.

The Blue Ridge Parkway has so many photo opportunities. Your picture are beautiful.
We decided we didn't have time for the blue ridge parkway and actually stayed a Carolina Beach. Just got off of Ocracoke today... heading home now :( Your pictures are lovely!
We traveled the Blue Ridge Parkway through the western part of Virginia with our camper, many years ago. Thanks for the beautiful memories.
Love that first shot with the fence. Just great!
A truly beautiful place and beautiful photos too.
Have never been there but your photos definitely make it tempting. Really love the first one looking past the fence at the mountains. Sounds like you had a great time!
I love going there in the fall when all the leaves start to change color, it's amazing!
Oh how gorgeous! I would love to travel there!! Beautiful photos.
Ahhh, your photos bring back great memories! One of my favourite places EVER...
Thanks for the mem-o-ries! (you'll have to imagine Frank, I don't sing...)
I love the Blue Ridge Parkway! Good for you walking all those miles. Probably made easier with the views?
These are so stunning Alice! There is something just downright magical about moss. I just love it so, and it gives this enchanted forest look to the second photo. The textures and colours of the first, I could certainly spend some good time there
Beautiful photos, indeed :)
Awesome pics Alice.
One of our favorite places to vacation. It is hard to capture the blues of the mts and the lush green....I think losing a pair of shoes was worth it.
The green lushness of the second shot is stunning. Looks like a wonderful, wonderful trip.
