30 Word Thursday

Away in a manger
No crib for a bed
The little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet head
The stars in the sky laid down where he lay
The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay.

Yes it' a bit too long but I couldn't cut this song short.
The hand painted ornament came from Pier One Imports and I have been getting them for our children and our Sunday School teachers every year.

Royal Feather Challenge

I love the beautiful colors of this challenge.
This long necklace has no clasp and fits over the head. It is made from beads in the kit.
I added Vintaj chain and a feather from Vintaj which I painted with Ranger patinas.
The focal was handmade by Andrew

A closeup of the beads
I'm not happy with the gap above the focal. I might fiddle with it a bit more.

Focus on Life

September is all about simplicity.
Today our prompt is 'One'

One being, one part, one piece.  We are all ONE.

This is a one room country school that my father and his sister and brother attended.
It's kept up by some very dedicated people in the community
It was built in 1872 and operated until 1929.
Behind it are the outhouses still in use, and a small cemetery.
