Diagnosis

Hello all,
I know it’s been a while since my last post and there’s a reason behind the delay.  This summer I was hit with the news that I have Early Onset Alzheimer’s.  This has affected my ability to create my jewelry and so my husband and I have decided to close our business and sell off our remaining stock of beads.

The news has been devastating but there is also good in my life.  I have learned to enjoy each day a little more and not take any day for granted.  My husband and I are staying active by doing a little more traveling with short weekend road trips here in Kansas.  And, my twin sister and I spend a couple of days each week doing some sort of day trip which I really enjoy.

We have also joined a support group with the Alzheimer’s Association that we have found to be very beneficial and comforting.

It’s never easy to give up something you love and so I do have a heavy heart when it comes to putting my jewelry business to bed.

I ask that you please keep me and my family in your prayers and want to close by saying thank you for all the enjoyable times of challenges and relationships we’ve built over the years.

God bless you all,

Alice
