Focus on Life

September is all about simplicity.
Today our prompt is 'One'

One being, one part, one piece.  We are all ONE.

This is a one room country school that my father and his sister and brother attended.
It's kept up by some very dedicated people in the community
It was built in 1872 and operated until 1929.
Behind it are the outhouses still in use, and a small cemetery.

What a great school! Buildings like this 'one' with such history and meaning are hard to find! Glad it's being taken care of!

Reminds me of Little House on the Prairie - my first introduction to US tv here in England in 1970s :)

What a beautiful building, I like all the geometric lines about it. A nice piece of history.

A fantastic photo for this week's theme and even better since your father and aunt attended it. It looks in really good shape, which is wonderful since it is an historic treasure.

Great photo of the school house! We have a number of them around here, some kept up like this one, others sadly falling into disrepair.
