Erin Prais-Hintz of Treasures Found has issued an invitation to her 30 words Thursdays.
Just share a photo on Thursdays and write 30 words about that photo.
I mulled it over, and at first I didn't think I wanted to commit. But here I am with no promises that it will be consistent. So here we go.
Stark beauty, this sycamore tree
Bare branches
Morning fog receding
Crisp, fresh air
A hushed quietness
Snow slowly disappearing
A morning dove calling out
Wishing I had worn my coat

It is so different in my landscape. There is too much snow that blankets the land making the world a stark black and white coloring book. I love the promise of this tree, limbs resolutely reaching heavenward. So glad that you decided to hop on the 30 Words! I promise there is no pressure to make it weekly for anyone but me, but it is oh so nice to have friends pop in to play. Enjoy the day, Miss Alice! Thank you for persisting with my inLinkz snafu! Erin
You captured the moment!
Oh, like Erin you put yours in more of a poetry form and I'm just smitten with that. I used to write poetry endlessly as a kid and through college. I'm wanting to find that voice again. This challenge is likely to do that for me.
Both your picture and your words are great and the end of your poem really makes me smile!
I enjoyed your picture and felt like i was in the picture, and then felt the cold in the end.
Love it! Especially the last line... it was perfect and gave a wonderful wrap up to the poem! :)
Love your word poem. That shot does make me want to put on my coat. Somehow, it just looks cold there.
Perfect poem to suit this lovely londy tree!
You've captured the cold in your picture and your words. Makes me want to grab my coat too!
