Focus on Life Self Portrait

Ugh... which was what I was thinking when Sally announced the assignment for this week. And the photo below shows just how much I dislike having my photo taken, and even worse when I have to take it myself!

But just because I love the Focus on Life Challenge I did this.

No makeup cuz I'm allergic to it all, a few wrinkles, and a bad hair day.
Check out Sally's blog for more self portraits.

I like both of the pictures. And your hair looks great.

LOL! LOVE your first photo because that's exactly how I felt when I saw this weeks prompt! And, you're beautiful w/out makeup. I cannot always wear it either - same reason, too. Oh,...and I love all the blue colors and beautiful beads in your new header photo, too!

I am with you on that front - hate having my picture taken! But you've done a beautiful job - you look great :)

I think you look lovely! Funny how we focus on our faults and others can see us more as a whole.

I've reached the point where my hair has been chewed so badly by the goats I don't even care any longer...it's never going to be nice again!

You look beautiful

My mother used to say "every picture tells a story" and your pictures show the exact feelings I had about this weeks prompt. Excellent photos full of feeling.

Like your pensive portrait, but the one facing the camera is my favorite!

How funny! It looks like you have a headache. And I agree - your hair is beautiful. I think most women are critical of their hair, which is why I wore a hat!

Alice I think that you are beautiful. I like your new blog header.

Yep, in the first one I can clearly see the despair, if I was standing next to you, you probably would of punched my arm. :)
But Alice, I see a beautiful photo of a wonderful woman in the second one, thank you for sharing!!

Alice! Yours is a beautiful face! I see your heart in your eyes. :) And, you have beautiful hands with the long slender fingers of an artist. xo

I had the same reaction! but I love how you look at the camera in your second photo.

Know what you mean - don't think any of us enjoy it...
But I love the 2nd one - just gorgeous!

We are all too hypercritical of ourselves. I think you are lovely! What I noticed first is the very beautiful high cheekbones you have! Embrace your you-ness, Miss Alice, because you are beautiful! Enjoy the day. Erin

Lucky to have this beautiful lady as my wife!! I've seen both looks over the past 31+ years and may even have been the cause for a few of the first picture poses. The beauty on the outside is just the beginning....the beauty on the inside is so much more.

We have the same hair stylist naturally windblown... you even managed to get your face centered in that second picture! Think they are both great!

Alice, I LOVE both of those! I hope you keep them and use both of them...particularly the second, it's a definite keeper.

Alice, what a wonderful B&W post...I'm not even sure if I have ever seen your face before so I am excited to finally "meet" you after all this time! You are one beautiful lady and just look at those high cheek bones and your smile! I hope you see the beauty we all see - and your husband Todd too! I loved that he jumped in and showed his support too - he's a keeper! :-)
