What an appropriate assignment for this week since we are in the midst of Holy Week.
I love the season of Lent and had several ideas in mind for this week's photo.
Unfortunately I've been so busy this week and today snuck up on me so quickly that I didn't get a photo. And of course today is another gloomy day, making it difficult to take photos. So I'm sharing one that I took several months ago.

My husband and I were driving home one evening and I thought the sunset was so beautiful that I snapped a few photos as we drove along. When we got home my husband noticed this telephone pole that looked a lot like a cross. I didn't even notice this while I was taking the photo because the sun was so bright.

Oh Alice, that is such a beautiful shot and the cross "appearing" to you later, so inspirational! I think I would have to frame that.
I have noticed since buying my (first ever!) camera last July, Alice, it really does capture things unseen by our eyes. Thank you so much for sharing this inspiring pic in anticipation of the Easter morn!

That's a splendid (albeit unintentional :) ) picture - love it! Back in Romania (where I grew up) we have a huge cross built on top of one of the mountains - on a crisp day you can see the cross from over 100 km away (the city I lived in is that far and we could see the cross). It is one of the most beautiful images I keep with me!
