This year, my husband Eric has decided to issue me a design challenge each month to get me out of my comfort zone and to help clear out my bead stash... we're calling it the Honey Do List. I know that I'm not the only one who loves a good design challenge, so I'm inviting folks to play along!
Here is this month's inspiration and what Eric had to say about it
: This month I chose a picture from our recent trip out to Ligonier, PA for the Allegory Gallery's Creative Camp. Andrew Thornton directed us out to a nearby bog where the carnivorous plants were in full bloom. An entire field of these pitcher plants and much smaller sundews stretched around us--beauty and savagery all wrapped up in one tiny leafy package. The strange shape, as well as the striated deep red patterns against green really jumped out at me and I wanted to see what a bunch of jewelry designers could pull off with this inspiration.

Autumn is a second Spring when every leaf is a flower.
beautiful designs! and that is exactly what my husband would do if he could get me to use my stash v. buying more beads!
I adore those beads from Grubbi they really make your earrings special and didn't we have great colors to work with?!!
Your name "Grand Canyon" is just perfect for that particular pair of earrings. They are just lovely!
I love those first earrings they're perfect for this challenge great job!
Ooh! I didn't even think of those great leaves from Heather! (I've got a pair in my stash someplace too.) What a great choice for this challenge... I love the combination with the Grubbi beads. Thanks for playing along with us! I hope you'll check back September 1st to see what Eric has in store for us next time.
Love your quote about leaves in fall. Great earrings with the suble mix of burgundy and lime green. That's a color combo I can't seem to get enought of. Such a feast of these colors in Eric's photo!
Thanks for playing along again! Like the red leaves a lot!
Nice color combination! I like how even though you've got a streamlined design, you've packed a lot of content in these earrings with the art beads. Fantastic!
