Focus on Life

September is all about simplicity.

Our assignment today is to take a photo of a door. I love to find unique doors an got the chance on our vacation to Washington DC. Our hotel was just a short walk to the subway and there were several lovely doors on that route.

See more doors at Sally's blog.

Such pretty doors! They look very Georgian with the semi-circle of glass above them... Great photos!

Lovely like that 'fanlights' above them all, although one of the doors just has an round top!

Whoa! You certainly DID get a lot of good doors!! I lived in DC for about 15 years...so I want to guess where this is...was it along Mass Avenue? Or perhaps Georgetown?
Great door captures!!!!

There is nothing like the architectural detail on those old homes. And what great craftsmanship you captured in your door photos. Your post was made to order for this week. Just terrific!

Those are all really lovely doors! They remind me of many of the doors over in Rome - very unique!

Awesome doors! I think it is cool to walk down streets and see neat looking doors.. My problem is I usually forget my camera. Great shots!
