52 Weeks In Motion

52 week badge

Our assignment for this week is all about motion.

Our kids at the beach, each standing on something, maybe rocks or wood--maybe left from an old pier or dock...

This summer we took a trip to the East Coast.  This photo was taken at Wrightsville Beach near the city of Wilmington North Carolina.  Being from Kansas it's not often that we get a chance to dig our toes in the sand while the surf comes rolling in, then back out.  Oh the water was delightful! A perfect day!

The falling wave,
arch of identity, shattering feathers,
is only spume when it clears,
and returns to its source, unconsumed.
~a verse from 'The Wide Ocean', a poem by Pablo Neruda

  3. Lovely! i would have loved to show the movement of water, but our little stream is not very exciting movement-wise!

  4. What a great wave photo. I find it hard to capture water in motion and you did a great job. Also a very cute shot of your family with bare feet in sand.

  7. Great shots. The ocean(water)is one of my most favorite 'in motion' things ever! And your verse from the poem is beautiful.

  12. Beautiful waves - we are quite far from the ocean, but just on the shore of Lake Ontario, which can substitute for a sea any time of the year :) Lovely shot - thanks for sharing!
