Our assignment is about we find on the ground
When our children were younger they made stepping stones.
This one was made in a pizza Box and decorated with lots of jewels and dodads

This one was made at Bible School  years ago

These were made in pot pie tins and decorated with tiny ceramic tiles with the kids initials

30 Words Thursday

My son gave me this book because he knows how much I love cookies
I could eat cookies every day. Really!
But you won't catch me dipping cookies in milk

Focus on Life The View Above

This week we were to  photo the view above.
Two weeks ago we took a family trip to Boston and Salem.
I could have shared a hundred photos of tall ships, the Boston Skyline and so much more.
But that will have to be another day.
In the mean time you can look at the two photos below.

Looking up at the colorful signs and  buildings in Boston

I love the shapes, colors and patina of these Boston apartments

Be sure to check out Sally's blog to see more views from above.

We're All Ears August Challenge

Our inspiration art.
I almost forgot about this week's challenge since we were in Boston this last week. Today I scrambled to get a pair made. I was inspired by all the colors and lines in the inspiration piece.

'Shaman's Daughter
Hammered brass circles from Vintaj and various beads

30 Words Thursday

The subway in Boston
Mostly crowded
Abrupt starts and stops startling passengers
People from all walks of life scrunched together
Swaying to and fro and holding to anything they can

Focus on Life Outside

August is all about getting outside.
This week our assignment is 'fresh air'

And since we took a trip to Boston we had plenty of opportunities to be outside.

We have twenty one nephews and nieces and when they turn 5 years old they get to go vacation with us.
This year this guy went along with us to Boston.  Sam is  ten years old now as he was too shy to go with us until now
This is the ferry we took from Salem back to Boston. The ferry was fast and Sam loved the ride and stayed out there most of the time.
